Systems Engineer

The Engineering and Logistics Solutions Operation currently has an opening for a Systems Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidate must possess knowledge of system engineering methods including requirements and specification development, system integration techniques, verification/validation methods, Interface Control Document (ICD) development, trade studies, risk analysis and mitigation techniques, design reviews, test plan development, configuration management, and concept of operations development. The candidate is expected to: (1) support systems architecture development for a Link-16 based subsystem (2) have a strong understanding of systems engineering including requirements analysis, functional analysis, and synthesis; (3) provide leadership and engineering discipline to a team of engineers.(4) understand and mitigate interoperability risks associated with the implementation of the link-16 subsystem. Preferred candidate will demonstrate knowledge of communications systems requirements and design.

EDUCATION/SKILLS: BS in Engineering or other technical degree or equivalent relevant experience.
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS: 10 years of Systems Engineering experience on DoD based projects with specific experience as outlined in the job description. Experience with Link-11/16 and Ethernet communication architectures. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing is a must. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment. Must show high energy and strong initiative. Must be a self-starter and capable of learning new concepts and system characteristics quickly.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

DESIRE SKILLS: Experience with DOORS requirements tracking tool. Object Oriented Analysis and Object Oriented Design experience. System of Systems experience.
