PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.International Purchaser of Electronic Components, Hardware, Machined Parts, Cables, PCBAs, Motors, Print heads.

2.Negotiate contracts for long term stability in supply as well as proactively search for the lowest costs possible.

3.Negotiate with existing overseas suppliers on sustained products as well as new products.

4.Prepare purchase contracts and purchase orders based on MRP demand.

5.Works with MRP system to understand requirements and plan materials.

6.Track the progress of purchase orders and follow up on changes in requirements.

7.Interface with Design Engineering as well as Sustaining Engineering to create clear channels of communication between our engineers and suppliers.

8.Develop annual objectives in line with company goals.

9.Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
Education - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
A minimum of 5-8 years experience as a purchasing agent / analyst or equivalent cross-functional experience.
APICS related classes.
Must have working experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and MRP
Must have a working knowledge of Electronic Components, Cable Assemblies and Printed Circuit Boards.
Must have working experience in International Shipping and Customs.
Must know how to read blue prints and specifications related to components, cable assemblies and printed circuit boards.
Must understand how to negotiate with rapidly changing commodities in foreign countries.
Must understand trends in technology and relate them to new products that can be used to make Thermal Printers.
Excellent communication skills.
