Ensure uninterrupted airline operation by maintaining minimum downtime for the OCC (Operational Crisis Center), UDC (Underground Data Center), Inet (North building First Floor), B N6/ULS (North building Basement Computer room), Chicago Reservations, disaster recovery site and critical operations. Provide, on a shift basis, safe, cost effective, productive facility maintenance support. Oversee mechanical, environmental, upgrades and monitoring of computer maintenance system, cleaning, site security, food service, mail, shipping & receiving, transportation, environmental management, training, relocation and construction projects. Supervise AMFA and IAM personnel, as well as the Maintenance personnel. Monitor performance of contract service and construction personnel. Inspect all facility areas and initiate or recommend action to maintain and/or improve service levels. Provide information and recommendations to the Facilities Engineer regarding the preventive maintenance system and/or standard operation maintenance procedures. Responsible for supervision and performance of electrical systems, UPS, mechanical, diesel, contractors and construction projects. May fill in as the designated alternate for the Manager in emergency situations.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Prefer a degree in mechanical engineering. Any substitute degree with relevant work experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience with industrial power distribution, specifically focused on building operations and preferably in a corporate environment. Large scope project management experience and familiarity with data center infrastructure is strongly desired.
Desire personnel supervisory experience, preferably of employees covered by a union contract. Background and/or experience in electrical systems, UPS, mechanical, diesel, environmental and OSHA management, preventative maintenance systems, commercial HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and chemical treatment.
SKILLS
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated leadership abilities. Working knowledge of electrical systems, UPS, mechanical, diesel, environmental and OSHA management, preventative maintenance systems, commercial HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and/or chemical treatment.
OTHER: Must be able to work different shifts in a 7/24 operation
