Sourcing Manager

OutHire, an executive search firm has been asked by a Midwest Fortune 500 manufacturer of consumer goods to recruit a Sourcing Manager for their rapidly growing organization. The Sourcing Manager will primarily be responsible for sourcing finished goods from foreign manufacturers and vendors while acting as a liaison for product development needs and supply base. Work with Production, Engineering, and business teams to ensure compliance with organization standards and procedures. Negotiate cost, inventory, quality and production schedules. Assist logistics in expediting product for delivery. Travel to supplier factories and assist in product approval. Manage quoting process, and project timelines.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree, 3+ years experience with foreign sourcing, domestic and foreign manufacturing discipline knowledge, the ability to travel internationally, strong analytical skills, solid experience reading and interpreting product specs and drawings, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and as a team.
