Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Supervise the fabrication of welded steel storage tanks and structural steel. Responsible for all shop operations including QA/QC, production, fabrication, welding, budgets, scheduling and cost control. Hire, train, and supervise shop floor workers Provide leadership, motivation and direction to fulfill efficient and productive operations Reports to Plant Manager



Qualifications and Requirements:Leadership background in plate and structural steel fabrication methods Knowledge of welding methods Hands on person who has excellent communication and administrative skills Knowledge of Spanish would be useful Familiarity with ASME, AWWA, API, ASTM and welding codes Successful record of controlling shop costs High school education 5+ years in steel fabrication leadership background
