Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Supervisor position to be located in Rockdale, IL. This position is responsible for overseeing 20+ personnel in the planning and scheduling of work to utilize equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels. This person will have the responsibility of coordinating and managing assigned resources and employees to meet Fesco roofing production goals and must ensure that safety, quality, environmental, and employee welfare standards are met at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a manufacturing team by directing daily manufacturing activities, training and developing employees to deliver top quality products, reviewing production records, administering Work Job Safety Analyses, Standard Operating Procedure’s, and Control Plans, etc. .Perform and document training for hourly personnel.
Implement safety program/ accident investigation for crew; continuously monitor safety processes and compliance.Prepare labor, material, and equipment usage reports.Conduct daily and monthly shift meetings.Maintain and enforce good housekeeping strategies and methodologies in production area.QUALIFICATIONS:
High school or GED Required. Some college preferred.
Demonstrates excellent leadership and communication skills
Minimum 1 year industrial supervisory experience
Continuous manufacturing experience and some engineering experience are a plus
Experience with Six Sigma preferred but not necessaryAbility to achieve results independentlyComputer proficiencyMust be willing to work any shift (day / swing / night)
