Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers to be responsible for planning and implementing projects to improve manufacturing processes of existing products and to contribute manufacturing expertise in the development of new products.
This position will be responsible for investigating, planning, and implementing the more complex improvements in and/or additions to current products and manufacturing processes to maximize product efficiency and quality. The successful candidate will lead projects of moderate scope requiring engineering team effort or a multi-discipline team approach, as well as assign, delegate and assist in providing engineering-related duties/ projects to other engineers, designers, and technicians. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be considered the technical expert in responsible area of engineering. Will ensure quality policy, respond to customer complaints, perform audits, develop test methods, and/or write procedures as well as maintain related ISO/GMP standards. Specific duties include:
* Provide technical assistance and leadership required to plan and implement projects to develop, install, and qualify new products / manufacturing processes for new products or to improve existing processes; provide assistance to production as needed;
* Provide engineering expertise in the design, fabrication, development, installation, validation and qualification of acquired components, parts, equipment, and services; provide training to ensure proper operation of equipment;
* Monitor and control programs, identify issues and ensure resolution;
* Ensure accurate documentation for any implemented changes;
* Research and implement cost reduction projects;
* Plan work schedules, expenditures, attend meetings, and prepare reports ensuring effective communication of ideas, information, and issues to all involved.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a four-year engineering degree (Biomedical or Electrical) along with at least 6 years of increasing engineering responsibility and experience in manufacturing environment. Experience must include: designing, specifying, fabricating, assembling, validating and debugging machinery/ product and manufacturing processes; implementing major manufacturing projects and new products; and prior supervisory or project leadership experience. Requires current working knowledge and understanding of engineering technologies in designated areas of engineering expertise and familiarity with current GMP, FDA and ISO regulations. Must be able to create and work from engineering drawings and/or specifications. Requires excellent analytical/ problem-solving skills as well as knowledge of electronic/ chemical equipment and tools used in laboratory testing and inspection systems, statistical techniques/ methods, engineering drafting, and PC proficiency using Windows-based software (Outlook, Word and Excel preferred). Successful candidate will have superior communication skills (written/oral).
