Senior Buyer

Our client a manufacturer of commercial products located in the Raleigh vicinity (Southern Wake County is a leader in their industry. They are currently searching for a Senior Buyer.

Responsibilities:
Review forecast requirements and material history to issue Purchase Orders and releases Schedule and expedite non-forecast requirements.
Perform studies or analysis of vendor's cost, quality and delivery to identify opportunities for improvement.
Will achieve cost reductions and quality improvements by working with existing or developing new vendors.
Will provide feedback and guidance on purchased materials to production and engineering personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Previous experience buying production materials
Five or more years experience working as buyer within a MRP system.
Must be familiar with Kan Ban.
APICS certification a plus.
