Samplemaker, Foundations - Victoria’s Secret Stores- New York, N

The Samplemaker is responsible for completing the sewing and construction of prototypes, meeting samples, color & print samples, duplicates, technical and fit samples. This position reports to the Patter Designer and has no direct reports.Must possess the ability to:Check cut work is correct before sewing any samples and ensure the Pattern Component Technician re-cuts if errors found
Construct a sample by sewing together cut parts utilizing a variety of machines including but not limited to single needle, zz, overlock, wire casing, tacking.
Construct samples as per Pattern Designers' written instructions and verbal direction.
Provide feedback to Pattern Designer on any issue or difficulty in the construction of the sample and make recommendations for solutions to the issues.
Complete daily maintenance of personal sewing station i.e. thread machine, adjust tension, keep machine clean etc.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum practical experience 3-5 years in foundations
The ability to complete all sewing operations necessary to create a sample from beginning to end
Proficient with all sewing equipment & applications associated with foundations and/or sleepwear i.e.attachments and folders
Able to make basic adjustments to sewing machines (threading, tensioning, basic repairs)
Able to follow technical instructions/specifications
Able to manage multiple tasks
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Show commitment as a team player
