Safety/Environmental Manager

Develop and implement safety and environmental related programs as mandated by OSHA and EPA. Develop and train employees in safety and environmental programs. Maintain and update emergency plans. Develop and coordinate responses to emergency situations. Investigate root cause and correct incident causes and develop and coordinate prevention programs. Direct employee safety related teams. Coordinate environmental permits and maintain EPA mandated records. Monitor solid waste and volatile organic compound emissions and recommend actions to reduce emissions.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in safety or environmental related field and minimum 3 yrs manufacturing safety/environmental experience desired.

Strong organizational and time management skills needed. Able to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of organization. Able to motivate and coordinate the effort of others. Able to set goals and meet objectives. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis experience required. Ability to develop and deliver effective employee training. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to all levels of organization.
