Quality Specialist

Quality Specialist Power Partners Inc, a world class leader in manufacturing of electrical equipment in Athens, Georgia, is accepting resumes for Quality Specialist. OBJECTIVES: Promote, develop and drive efforts to assure PPI meets and exceeds world-class benchmarks for performance in customer satisfaction by relentlessly reducing defects, scrap, rework and lead time. Evaluate and conduct quality audits by reviewing manufacturing practices, processes, and material irregularities RESPONSIBILITIES: *Assist with or perform quality assurance audits for materials, internal processes and completed product. *Examine and analyze performance data and processes and verify conformance to requirements or identify improve methods to help achieve department quality standards. *Meet all assignment schedules. *Record results on inspection forms or charts and report findings. Post and maintain forms and charts of inspection data, quality levels, or other quality information. * Interface with other department personnel regarding ideas, processes, tests, products and/or drawings, as well as external customers and/or vendors. * Utilize various established department procedures, equipment, materials, tools, practices or models to meet department requirements. * Make recommendations on the disposition of questionable products/processes or actions to prevent problems that may arise from new designs or processes. Utilizes formal problem solving methodologies. *Demonstrates the ability to blend logical, analytical, and creative thinking styles. *Demonstrate accountability and ability to hold others accountable. *Actively seeks, shares, and applies new concepts to continuously improve self and others. *Works effectively with others individually and in teams in pursuit of organizational goals. * Self-directed and proactive. *Models PPI's vision and values and keeps them at the forefront of all business activities. * Excellent organization skills applied regularly. * Skilled using computer applications including MS Office, Lotus Notes, Intranet, and Internet. *Understands the processes and operation of the entire plant, including customer expectations. *Present and maintain a calm presence, especially in the face of adversity.
