Our company began as Lucas Sumitomo Brakes, Inc. in December 1989, with 50 team members producing the disc brake caliper for the Ford Escort. Today, after five expansions and the building of a second manufacturing plant, we have hundreds of team members producing Disc Brake Calipers and Antilock Brake System (ABS) units for more than 20 different vehicles for many of the world’s leading auto manufacturers.

In 2001, our parent company, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., partnered with three other leading international companies to form ADVICS Co., Ltd.:
-Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. – 40%
-Denso Corporation – 20%
-Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. – 20%
-Toyota Motor Corporation – 20%

And in 2003, our company was acquired by ADVICS North America Inc., a subsidiary of ADVICS Co. Ltd., and we became ADVICS Manufacturing Ohio, Inc.

ADVICS Manufacturing Ohio, located north of Cincinnati in Lebanon, Ohio, currently has a need for a Supervisor in the Quality Control Laboratory.

Responsibilities include:
•Interview, hire, train, and supervise Quality Laboratory personnel across three shifts;
•Plan, assign and direct work assignments as needed to support internal and external customers;
•Address problems with processes, standards, equipment, and/or personnel to ensure company goals are met, and;
•Develop and track annual expense and capital budgets for the Quality Control department.


The successful candidate will have a strong background in supervision and employee relations, with proven interpersonal skills, leadership experience, and problem solving abilities; and 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment is required. A background in Quality Control is preferred; candidates with knowledge and understanding of metrology, Statistical Process Control, and surface plate layout will be given additional consideration.
