Quality Assurance Technician II

Purpose: SHIFT: 1st Shift (7am ? 3:30pm) JOB DUTIES: Plan and perform incoming, first-piece, in-process and/or final inspections of complicated, precision products, for appearance, dimensional characteristics and performance characteristics.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Participate in vendor capability / qualification surveys.
Organize and lead specific corrective action projects at the direction of the Quality Manager.
Document and process non-conforming material in accordance with written procedures.
Plan and perform gauge control and calibration in accordance with established procedures using standard and/or special calibration, measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, verniers & gauges).
Adjust variable measuring tools to required sizes prior to issuance.
Perform other duties as required.
Perform Root Cause Analysis on non-conforming material.


EDUCATION OR TRAINING DESIRED:

Inspection of mechanical parts using mechanical and CNC equipment.
Development of inspection method based on drawing requirements.
Calibration and control of measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, verniers & gauges).
Computer skills including knowledge of Excel.
Programming and use of CNC metrology equipment.Classification:Full-TimeCompensation:
