Purchasing Supervisor - promotable

Well known established manufacturer has an opportunity for a purchasing supervisor at their outstanding performing plant in eastern AL. This plant of a Fortune 1000 company located in a growth area is looking to see their purchasing role develop into a work class procurement function. This employee oriented firm manufactures products that are well respected. Selected individual will supervise buyers in the purchasing area and include developing global partnerships. Will travel as required and manage supplier improvement initiatives. Will review and interpret customer contracts and verify accuracy of purchase orders. Will also measure the performance of the supply base and ensure reporting processes are in place. Will also develop strategically linked and functionally integrated sourcing strategies. Outstanding relocation package is available.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates for this career opportunity will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and a bachelor degree. Required is at least 10 years of purchasing experience and at least some supervisory experience. Must have 10 years of supply chain experience in a continuous process and high volume manufacturing environment. CPM certification is a plus. Must have very good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead diverse teams through complex projects. Need knowledge of GD&T principles.
