Purchasing Manager

Packaging Manufacture is looking for a Purchasing Manager to manage the purchasing function for the company. Develop department policy and procedures. Accept and scrutinize supplier bids and proposals. Recommend and select sources based upon analysis of supplier capabilities, pricing, and quality standards. Arrange supplier contracts and negotiates for best costs/prices consistent with company needs, wants, and quality requirements. REQUIREMENTS


The ideal candidate must have 8-10 years of relative purchasing experience. Bachelor’s degree - Chemistry background a plus. Knowledge of MRP, Bill of Materials, and automatic purchase order systems. Experience in procurement of chemicals, packaging components and materials, and factory and manufacturing supplies. APICS certification a plus.
