Here’s your opportunity to be with a General And Roofing Contractor as a Restoration Estimator that specializes in multi-family insurance restoration and rehab projects.

We are seeking an experienced Restoration Estimator for one of our highly respected General And Roofing Contractors.

Position Overview:Be part of this expanding and growing General And Roofing Contractor that specializes in the growing field of Light Commercial and Multi-Family Insurance Restoration.

Restoration Estimator Duties:As the Restoration Estimator you will report directly to the VP Operations.

Responsible for preparing accurate job estimates and negotiating them.

Will use Xactimate 24 as your estimating program.

Use Xactimate to automatically calculate material and labor quantities for the construction of walls, floors, footings and roofs.

Use the one-click framing feature of Xactimate: Shared walls between room are accurately counted as a single wall--appropriate amount of studs, headers, top plate, etc. are added based on customizable settings; Allows for framed or concrete floors and for both trussed and stick-framed roofs.

Use the Xactimate Flooring feature: Multiple types of flooring items can be added--even in the same room; Different flooring appears in different colors and patterns; Automatically calculates suggested roll directions, seam locations, etc. and displays them graphically; Displays important information such as carpet cuts, material, square feet, square yards, and waste percentages.

Use the Xactimate Roofing feature: Each roof face can be uniquely numbered and identified; Define a section on your roof and easily drag out an intersecting tie-in roof; Displays measurements between the main roof and a joined tie-in roof as you drag; Define areas and sectors on roofs (e.g., chimneys); Onscreen display shows squares per roof face.

Use the Electrical Wizard feature: select one or more rooms, and Sketch will automatically place outlets, switches and lights according to preferences set by you or defaulted by Xactimate.

Responsible for negotiating the scopes of work with Insurance Adjusters.

Will respond to emergency property board-up requests from fire departments and Management Companies within 60 minutes (24/7 on-call responsibilities on a rotation basis).

Responsible for proper file documentation, digital imaging and proper presentation preparations.

Responsible for the development of new sub and supplier accounts and to negotiate pricing.

Responsible for attendance at industry functions and trade shows.

Must always ensure the highest of client satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Must have a minimum of two years experience of insurance claim for Light Commercial And Multi-Family restoration projects.

Must have a minimum of 5 years estimating experience in light commercial and/or multi-family insurance restoration and rehab projects.

Must have a minimum of 2 years estimating experience in light commercial and/or multi-family renovation and/or restoration and rehab projects.

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience negotiating the scopes of work with Insurance Adjusters.

Knowledge of Xactimate 24 with a certification is preferred.

Computer Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Schedule, MS Outlook and MS Word.
