The Group Marketing Department supports our business unit marketing teams in developing and executing on each of our brand strategies along with dissemination of product information independent of the medium used.
Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision this position acts as primary buyer for all materials and finished products for the operation of the organization. Manages product purchases plans, purchasing, inventory replenishment and vendor-managed inventory programs. Participates in raw materials and finished goods price negotiations. Insures consistent inventory flow to minimize stock outs and meet or exceed inventory turns.Purchasing
•Executes and maintains individual and blanket purchase orders for LE and M/S standard catalog items and manages periodic releases
•Executes and maintains individual and blanket purchase orders for Private Label products
•Places raw materials orders and manages IT materials to support finished goods purchases
•Sources new suppliers for existing IT materials and finished goods
•Reviews and resolves daily internal procurement problems and shortages
•Initiates cost reduction programs
•Confers with suppliers concerning late, on-time, and early deliveries. Communicates incoming product information to customer service
•Participates in vendor performance reviews and improvement programs
•Resolves material and invoice discrepancies
•Maintains vendor files
•Creates and enters part numbers for new items
•Deletes obsolete or discontinued part numbers

•Must have 2-4 years procurement experience in Textile or garment industry.
