Production Support Specialist needed for Financial Services Industry Leader!!!!

Project Description:
The candidate will provide 24x7 operational support, second level triage and project support to the business applications, job scheduling, file transfers, and data loads. This includes: code promotion, incident management (problem determination and recovery), user management, security access and controls, work order management, event console management, job scheduling and execution, file and database table management, transfer/load/extract data management, workload management, output management, media management, and application wellness checks, performance management, capacity management, application and business data recovery, business continuity (BCP), and disaster recovery (DR).
Develop and document process flow detailing functions and accountabilities. Identification of areas where efficiencies can be gained using proactive approach through collection and analysis of metrics. Automation of various operational functions. The candidate must be willing and eligible for conversion at the time of acceptance.

Due to the structure of the production service support team (24x7) the candidate needs to understand the shift they will be assigned before being accepted. On call rotating shifts – candidate needs to be flexible. Examples: There are basically 3-shifts: Nightshift ranging anywhere from Monday through Sunday, swingshift anywhere from Monday through Sunday, and dayshift anywhere from Monday through Sunday. The candidates will work for 1-hours days with 3-days off depending on their fixed schedule the 3-days off could be anywhere from Monday through Sunday.

Required Skills:
Support person with broadbase of technology experience including -
MQ, Weblogic, Java, UNIX (AIX, SUN, HP), ksh, csh, Oracle, Job Scheduling, File Transfer, Windows NT (4.0 and 2000), and SQL Server. The candidate should be adept enough in scripting giving them both the ability to both understand and create scripts..
Other Skills:
Candidate should be fluent in various processes such as change management, problem management, incident management tools such as Peregrine, Remedy, etc as well as release management process and controls.
Scope of Work:
Support of all applications in ITE and Production to include problem resolution of Web based applications utilizing MQ, and Weblogic. Code deployments into ITE and Production to include reviewing Application Spt Guides, and Implementation Plans. File Delivery and Job Scheduling tasks as required.

12 month duration + extension or possible perm roll-over.
