Production Supervisor
nth/works, a Louisville based manufacturing company seeks a Production Supervisor with Quality Experience for a 300+ manufacturing facility.
SUMMARY: Leads the business cell by managing the personnel and equipment within the Cell. Coordinates with supporting departments needed to accomplish the task of producing the products provided by the Cell on a timely basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training for all production positions within his/her business cell. The Production Supervisor needs to insure that anyone who meets the Company’s mission statement and desires the opportunity for advancement has the Production Supervisor's full support to receive the appropriate training.
All process control within the business cell. This includes, but is not limited to: work procedures, work scheduling and expediting when necessary.
Tracking and maintaining actual production versus plan including production efficiencies. The Production Supervisor shall insure that the appropriate training is performed. Thereafter, the Production Supervisor is responsible to ensure that the associates in the business cell achieve production levels with the highest levels of quality including the identification and tracking of internal PPM.
Coaching, counseling, and tracking of the quality of their employees. The Production Supervisor also has the responsibility to develop and communicate Action Plans for the continuing development of Precision Associates.
Ensuring all written and oral work instructions are issued and understood.
The highest quality of all appropriate paperwork and business transactions within the business cell. This includes the paperwork necessary for first and last piece, tagging of tools and production logs. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the Business Cell’s raw material, work-in-progress, finished goods inventory and container inventories.
Ensuring that all activities within his/her business cell are compliant with both Precision’s Safety Program and OSHA’s safety guidelines. The Production Supervisor, as a leader within the plant, is also responsible for any observations of safety violations or poor judgment outside their business cell.
Settling disputes and conflicts, when appropriate, among members of his/her business cell, or otherwise referring the issues to someone who could.
Preventative maintenance of all tools and presses within the business cell.
The optimization of the business cell profitability. The continued evaluation and achievement of the Business Cell Productivity Bonus program in conjunction with other members of the cell’s core leadership team.
Demonstrate an ability to operate all the different types of equipment in the business cell.
The tool, die and necessary fixture inventory and its accuracy for the applicable tools assigned to the business cell.
Professional utilization of all monitoring equipment and gauges within the business cell (i.e. gauges, links, micrometers, calipers, die pro equipment, bar code scanners etc.)
Demonstrate an ability to ensure that the scrap from his/her press is removed and dealt with in a manner consistent with the Company’s new scrap recovery program.
Maintains compliance of Precisions Quality System within a business unit.
Ensure that all work areas, including the press operator workstation are clean and orderly.

Manufacturing Experience Required
