Production Supervisor - First Shift

Our client has a broad product line that includes paint and decorating specialty items and has national and worldwide distribution. They have an excellent opportunity for a production supervisor , first shift.


Responsible for hands-on supervision of the Production function within a fast-paced / made-to-order chemical manufacturing operation.

Development of a small staff production personnel, overseeing and/or directly performing production scheduling

Ensuring Inventory accuracy/accessibility/ minimization/preservation/etc.

Experience with MRPII, Infinium, AS400 is highly desirable

Strong communication skills with internal Manufacturing and Corporate functions.


Prerequisites:

Must have working knowledge of HazMat, DOT/IATA, OSHA regulations, ensuring safe production/material handling practices, and adherence to strict environmental controls

Continuous improvement and problem solving ability

Ability to suggest cost reduction approaches

Highly performance metrics driven such as Quality, Yield, Productivity, etc.
