Production Superintendent/Manager

The Judge Group, INC. is currently in search of a Degreed Production
Superintendent/Manager for a Large Baked Goods Manufacturing Facility
located in Chicago, IL. Candidate will provide leadership and direction
for the Operating Department in the cost-effective production of goods
meeting quality and customer services standards.Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate activities of the operations department to produce
quality products with high operational efficiency and low product waste.
*Will oversee 4-6 salaried supervisors and 120 indirect reports
· Promote plant quality improvement efforts.
· Evaluate and develop process improvements with respect to safety,
quality and production improvements.
· Provides and environment that promotes professional development
and enhancement of skill level for production supervisors that helps
prepare them for promotional opportunities.
· Communicate with supervisors and plant scheduler the production
status to service customer needs adjusting priorities as a result of
operating or production issues.
· Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance and
quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of
human resources, machines and equipment.
· Develops, revises and implements standard operational and working
practices designed to eliminate operating problems and improve quality and
observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.Requirements:
· Technical knowledge in the manufacture of food products and
associated processes in baked goods, sweet goods, ingredients or frozen
desserts. must have AIB exp.
· Knowledge of regulatory and food safety requirements.Education: Four - year technical degree and additional class work in
management-type courses and problem-solving techniques (i.e. Operations
Research, Statistical Quality Control/Statistical Process Control, etc.).Experience: Three to five years of progressive food manufacturing

Qualified Candidates for the Production Superintendent/Manager position
MUST HAVE a 4-Year BS Degree with at least 3-5 years of previous Production
Management experience from within a Baked Goods/Confection/Snack/Sweet
Goods Manufacturing Facility. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) speaking
candidates are highly desired and will receive first consideration.
