The Production Manager - Custom Vehicle Applications is responsible for leading development and operation of the group charged with building custom vehicles.Responsibilities to Include:
Lead and direct E-Z-GO custom vehicle manufacturing process
Plan and direct layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization to consistently deliver quality products, on time.
Establish departmental budget and manage spending accordingly.
Interact with end-use customer to accurately define customer wants and needs, behavior, and thinking, and use most robust and efficient analytical techniques (6S) to identify opportunities.
Identify best-in-class practices and processes through market analysis and competitive benchmarking to become the premier supplier of custom vehicle applications.
Identify best-in-class suppliers and negotiate superior pricing arrangements to support low-volume production, thereby delivering consistently high-quality products, resulting in world-class customer satisfaction.
Establish functional area profitability.
Prepare a long-term strategy for Custom Vehicle Applications.
Provide leadership and guidance in custom product development.A Textron Company
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or other related field.Position Requirements:
Minimum 10 years mobile equipment experience.
Prior product/project planning experience.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within small vehicle customization field.
Excellent communication skills, solid technical expertise, and a history of organizational achievement.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Requires wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.License and Certification Requirements:
