Production Expeditor/Scheduler

Eastside Indianapolis Packaging and Manufacturing facility of CD’s and DVD’s is in search of an experienced expeditor. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this key person will manage all aspects of production planning and scheduling. Responsibilities include:
•forecasting and demand planning of production work load; working with fast turn orders to meet production requirements
•working with sales staff and customer service in planning of production through different work centers within the operation; having the ability to project and make solid commitments to customers on every order based on capacity and workload
•holding daily production meetings with packaging department to discuss current workload and the scheduling of hourly assembly employees; re-prioritizing jobs as needed based on component delays and rush orders
•monitoring production status of all internal departments, vendors and customers to secure delivery times

Job requirements:
•previous experience with scheduling and planning in a manufacturing environment
•understanding of scheduling people for each job as compared to the man-hours needed to meet job deadline
•ability to multi-task and prioritize in an extremely fast paced environment
•knowledge of media manufacturing and print components desirable

A 4 year degree in a related field and at least 3 years in manufacturing environment required- previous experience in scheduling and expediting preferred. Excellent computer skills and communication skills a must.
