Production Control Analyst

Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Customer Service/Scheduling Manager and is responsible for work order generation, coordination with the traffic department, open order maintenance, on-time delivery and quality assurance. In addition this position will be responsible for completion of special projects, as assigned by the Service/Scheduling Manager. The Production Control Analyst will need to understand market conditions, capacities of all lines and buildings, machinery lead-times and capabilities.

Additional responsibilities include:
? Work Order Generation – Responsible for distribution of work order packets in accordance with due date for all orders and transfers.
? Traffic Coordination – Generation of load line-ups for common carriers, customer pick-ups and dedicated fleet.
? Open Order Report – Responsible for generation, maintenance and review of the open order report by due date.
? Manage Administrative Duties – Maintain accurate and complete account lists, information sheets and stocking program accounts.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:

Proficient in Lotus Notes, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel applications and StelPlan

A Bachelor’s degree is desired. Minimum 2 year Associate degree and 3 years applicable experience in the steel business or commensurate experience within Olympic Steel is required.
