Microsemi’s Integrated Product Group (IPG) is seeking an exceptionally qualified and experienced Product Line Manager (PLM) to manage the marketing and business development of its DC-DC power conversion IC product line! This key position will work closely with Microsemi’s senior management and worldwide sales force while managing internal systems and applications engineering teams to grow this emerging important product line.
The PLM position is responsible for meeting the business plan, revenue goals, and margin and market share for this DC product line, as well as the day-to-day operation of this technically demanding marketplace.
Typical responsibilities include:
1) Identifying, evaluating and selecting new opportunities for technical and commercial success.
2) Meeting challenging and growing revenue goals, margin, and market share goals for the overall business plan.
3) Developing new product justifications and work with the systems and applications teams to understand new product development opportunities.
4) Leading/prioritizing the development and release new proprietary ICs to production.
3) Pricing and promoting new products to a worldwide customer base of Distribution and OEM accounts.
4) Forecasting and ensuring business projections are met.
5) Building relationships with lead customers and development partners to develop Microsemi’s product roadmap and new products.
6) Ensuring we develop compelling, differentiated products in time to meet the short product life cycles and rapid integration challenges in this evolving market place.
7) Managing ongoing operations with the manufacturing team, prioritization of design and technical issues, quality and logistics issues, and being the ‘first point of contact’ for external sales force and critical customers for the DC product line.
REQUIREMENTS

To be qualified for this position, you "must" have these qualifications:
1) At least 5 years experience in marketing or product line management in DC-DC power management
2) A proven track record of product definition, product launch and product design in the area of DC-DC power management
3) The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and interface well with peers, external sales force and customers and internal engineering teams.
4) The ability to lead and motivate others and have a high level of customer focus and the drive to satisfy customers’ requirements.
5) Effective verbal and written communication skills.
6) The ability to travel internationally and domestically (up to 20%) is required.
7) Legal right to work in the U.S.
