Product Analyst (Commercial Lines & Personal Lines)
We currently have openings for both commercial and a personal lines product analyst. Primary duties include:
Conducts research and development activities for the commercial or personal lines products and evaluates insurance industry developments to update company products and procedures by performing the following duties.
Researches, analyzes, develops and recommends new and updated product offerings (including rates and rules), manuals and procedures to meet or exceed corporate objectives; files for regulatory approval; and implements.
Monitors statutes, regulations, bulletins and insurance department rulings to determine impact on all product offerings and procedures and takes appropriate action to assure legal compliance.
Assists other departments by answering internal inquiries regarding underwriting, claims, rates, rating rules, processing and other general matters relating to products and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for self-motivated individuals seeking challenging and rewarding positions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Three to five years insurance experience; underwriting experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee should have successfully completed the requirements to obtain the Certificate in General Insurance and the CPCU or CIC designation, or have made significant progress towards such designations. Employee should have current valid driver's license.
