Process Manager

The Process Manager¿s primary responsibility is to drive aggressive operational improvement and support similar activities across the Container Division. The individual in this position will work directly with plant leadership teams in all facilities to achieve rapid, sustainable results using the Process Improvement to drive down manufacturing costs and improve operational effectiveness. The position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining measurement systems at local facility to insure effective communication of results at all levels. The Process Manager will also provide a conduit to insure improvements made at one facility will be effectively transferred to all other operations. The individual will report to the Plant General Manager. Work performance will be evaluated on the basis of overall Process Improvement results and achievement of objectives established by immediate manager. - Coach plant level team leaders on process improvement process and leadership.

Organizes and coaches project teams at a local level as needed to effectively cultivate effective use of process improvement within the plant.

Analysis of projects, assessments and organization effectiveness at the operations level.

Supports division focus on analysis of data and setting priorities.

Demonstrates strong leadership for process improvement in all fascists of the job.

Organize and lead ongoing training for process improvement as needed to keep the organization current and effective. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless internal customer service.

Develops liaison with other professional engineering resources.

Plays a supporting role in division safety as it relates to engineering and problem solving.

Conducts assessments when necessary to provide focus on where priorities should be placed.

Performs other similar and related duties as assigned. No industry experience is required for this position but could be beneficial. An Engineering or technical degree from a major university is preferred and the same degree from any university or college is acceptable. Other combinations of education and experience may enhance the candidate but an engineering or technical degree is a requirement for this job. A track record of working with people at all levels to facilitate change that resulted in tangible increase in performance to the bottom line.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Principles of engineering use of common software applications and a general technical knowledge.

General knowledge of converting processes and employee tasks;

Effective training and program management principles;

Interpersonal skills for team leadership

Passion to drive operational improvement through teams.

Technical orientation with strong data based decision making skills.

Ability to effectively communicate across broad range of personalities and levels.

Ability to diplomatically challenge the existing practices to help drive improvement.
