Host Communications is one of the nation’s largest sports and lifestyle marketing companies, is seeking a Preflight / Pagemakeup Operator for its Printing Division.

Preflight / Pagemakeup Operator must have the ability to performPreflight jobs and Ad files on Mac and PC using FlightcheckStrong working knowledge of Quark, Indesign, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Suitcase, Acrobat and PitstopAbility to fill out a preflight report accurately while maintaining accurate records for material and time spent on each jobExperience with typesetting, digital file assembly, and performing client change requests to pagemakeup files is requiredAbility to read and follow instructions on job ticketsPreflight / Pagemakeup Operator will work closely with Customer Service, Sales, and the Ad Coordinator to obtain files that will not cause delays in production schedules and help in other areas and departments as neededMaintain and access tape backups for the EP file system

REQUIREMENTS


Preflight / Pagemakeup Operator must haveone-year prepress experience with a working knowledge of all areas of printing, strong communication, organization, and human relation skillsThe ability to follow a production schedule to ensure job delivery dates are metStrong attention to detail and qualityStrong working knowledge of Quark, Indesign, PageMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop, Suitcase, Acrobat and Pitstop also required
