ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Precision Inspector performs complex precision inspection on machine parts, assemblies, castings, forgings, purchased parts and raw materials, to determine compliance to prescribed requirements, using engineering drawings, purchase orders, and shop order instructions. This is a second shift position. Regular working hours for an 8 hour day - 3:30 pm to midnight.

REQUIREMENTS
Requires ability to read, write and understand English, follow verbal and written instructions, and interpret complex engineering drawings and related specifications.
Proficient in machine shop math, including basic geometry and trigonometry.
Working knowledge of ASME Y 14.5 Geometric Tolerancing, ASME B1.1 Screw Threads, and ASME B45.1 Surface Texture.
Minimum ten years related precision inspection experience, with a minimum of five years' Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience.
Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, hardness testers, surface roughness testers, toolmakers microscopes, sine plates, indicators, bore gauges, and gear testers.
This is a second shift position. Regular hours are 3:30 pm to midnight.
