Plant Manager - machining, assembly, continuous improvements

A manufacturer of heavy industrial equipment has an outstanding opportunity for a candidate to lead their plant operations.

We are searching for candidates with past experience managing a large machining and assembly operation. This facility machines most of their own components and has thousands of part numbers. Interested candidates should have a four year degree and very strong machining experience. Knowledge of lathes, mills, machining centers, grinding, drilling, tapping, honing and lapping is strongly preferred. Solid experience with planning, scheduling, production systems, machine efficiencies, tracking systems, P&L, costing, material, quality and continuous improvements is a must.

This position will manage over 100 employees in a large machining, assembly and warehouse operations. Candidates with experience building large equipment like jet engines, automotive engines, machine tools, industrial HVAC, heavy off road equipment, large specialty equipment, large air compressors, or any equipment with both machined components and assemblies is strong preferred.

MUST HAVE: a four year degree, past experience managing large groups of skilled trades, solid machining knowledge and the ability to work in an environment with thousands of parts and sub assemblies.
