Planning and Production Control Manager

TransAct Technologies Inc.is a growing, publicly traded NASDAQ (TACT) company, specializing in the manufacture of transaction printers for the gaming, lottery, retail, banking, and hospitality markets. We are currently searching for a Planning and Production Control Manager to establish, coordinate and control production schedules and material procurement schedules to meet company objectives and customer requirements at our Ithaca NY manufacturing facility. The Planning and Production Control Manager will take necessary action to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules in a build-to-order, LEAN environment. Will work directly with the purchasing, production and repair departments to ensure adequate and proper flow of materials.
The Planning and Production Control Manager will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations. With a strategy of only hiring the best of the best, TransAct seeks candidates who possess the following:
REQUIREMENTS
•A bachelor’s degree and at least 6-8 years of related experience in planning, scheduling and production control processes or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Sound knowledge of production planning and scheduling.•Previous experience in a management/supervisory role.
•Computer proficiency in database administration software, word processing, spreadsheets, production scheduling software and ERP. Oracle experience preferred.
•Must have excellent communication skills, oral and written, and solid organizational skills.
