PURCHASING AGENT/ BUYER

Our client, a leading manufacturer of chemical products, is seeking a purchasing professional to lead the purchasing and procurement activities for their plant located in Los Angeles, CA.

This position is responsible for purchasing of raw materials, equipment and MRO items. This position is also accountable for the development and maintaining working relationships with key suppliers.

It also is responsible for developing and implementing programs for continuous improvement of the procurement process in the plant.

This position is located in the Los Angeles, CA area.
REQUIREMENTS
HS degree (BS or BA degree preferred)
3+ years experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Familarity with SAP or Oracle a plus
