Operations Support Specialist-Morse Road-Columbus, OH

Purpose:
OPERATIONAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST
Back office support/inventory control.

Within a retail store setting, performs routine but varied administrative/clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This includes clerical duties such as greeting and directing callers and visitors, answering telephones, photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, positing information, ordering supplies, preparing incoming mail for distribution and processing outgoing mail. Creates and maintains accurate records, prepares forms and reports, verifies information and resolves routine problems. Performs data entry as necessary. May prepare and distribute correspondence. May scan documents and electronically file documents. May act as a backup for the switchboard. May be assigned special projects. May be required to assist with Customer Service functions. Performs other duties as assigned by management which may include but are not limited to:
Order/receive/transfer/organize inventory.
Process damaged products/returns.
Cycle counts -- every day worked.
Inspect for compliance in each category for Key Operating Metrics, run credit and adjustment reports/match to log, etc..,,
Organize and file daily paperwork - deposits, checklists, observations.
Monthly safety inspection of the store.
Maintain adequate supply of printer ink/paper and other office and collateral supplies.
Assist in arranging and maintaining merchandise in store.
Update back office boards and informational sales binders.
Create and send mailers – Small businesses and community.
Assist Retail Store Manager as assigned with projects/tasks.

Regular, part-time.





QUALIFICATIONS:

A High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED. Some college preferred.
1-3 years of retail and/or office experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency in MS Office is essential.
Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work in Team Environment.
BI-LINGUAL candidates fluent in English and Spanish desired.
