Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient admission of patients from the emergency room, physician's office, operating room, and diagnostic/procedural areas. Acts as point of contact for inpatient admissions. Ensures that patient admission procedures and standards of care are maintained consistent with organizational, county, and state guidelines. Participates in the coordination of care for patient admissions. Provides high level clinical assessment of patients to ensure placement in the appropriate level of care. Understands financial reimbursements and third party payments. Acts as a resource to ancilliary and nursing staff. Utilizes critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical skills within the patient care continuum. REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience; previous management experience required. BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse-State of California; Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
