Nursing Supervisor/Clinical Operations Coordinator

UC Santa Cruz is seeking a Nursing Supervisor with excellent clinical and management skills to serve as Clinical Operations Coordinator (COC). The COC is senior nurse, supervising a team of Nurses and Medical Assistants supporting 8 Clinicians in a busy ambulatory clinic caring for UCSC students. The COC reports to the Medical Director, is a member of the Management Team, and is responsible for providing and supporting clinical care and managing the clinic environment. We seek a dynamic leader with strong clinical skills, an interest in quality improvement, and experience in nursing management.

The beautiful UC Santa Cruz campus is located in the redwoods close to Monterey Bay, 75 miles south of San Francisco. Position is F/T Career. Full salary range goes from $50,600 - $94,300/annually; Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position is open until filled.

REQUIREMENTS
--Bachelors and R.N. degrees; California licensed Registered Nurse

--Excellent and current outpatient nursing skills, with minimum of 5 years experience in Emergency Room, Urgent Care, or similar ambulatory care nursing

--Significant experience as a nursing manager, with experience hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating nursing staff, and experience in developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures

--Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to interact well with Physicians and other health care professionals

--Ability to simultaneously manage multiple situations, respond to high acuity problems and function in high stress environment
