Non-Fuels Chemist (Central)

Non-Fuels Chemist (Central)Responsible for the approval/denial of new and re-certification of profiles to meet Rineco’s and regulatory requirements
Essential Functions:
Provides leadership to ensure company objectives are achieved. Acts as technical expert for the handling of material at the facility.
Assist facility personnel and customers in the processing of waste profiles Rineco or through network of outlets.
Evaluates, approves or rejects waste profiles based on the facility’s ability to process the material in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.Evaluates customer-supplied information to ensure the information is supplied to meet the facility's Waste Analysis Plan.Provides training for site personnel related to profile composition and safety.
Works with Marketing and Customer Service personnel to facilitate the approval or rejection of profiles.
Work with ultimate treatment / disposal facility to secure approval for direct and non-fuel waste streams.
Facilitate pricing of direct and non-fuel materials for Sales based on disposal and transportation cost for outlets.Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/Biology/Basic Science or related field
Requires a minimum of two years of specialization in the hazardous waste industryRequires excellent leadership and communication skills as well as the ability to think independently and make decisions.
Requires demonstrated skill in the generation and implementation of innovative ideasRequires detailed understanding of regulatory requirements and a specific familiarity of facility processes.Physical/Mental Demands:
Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, write, sit, walk, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, travel when needed and lift up to 30 lbs
Work Environment:
The work environment is moderately noisy.
