Molded Rubber Products Supervisor PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide for the timely production of finished goods according to established procedures and work instructions DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Work with planning, expediting, and purchasing relative to meeting production dates · Distribute and monitor work loads within the various work centers of the Molding Department and address all labor issues within the cell · Review routers for due dates and machine or work center specification making corrections and/or adjustments when required to ensure efficient and effective production of product. · Utilize Oracle (operating system), allowing efficient information transactions. · Be able to assist in the department when personnel shortages or extreme workloads dictate. · Assist operators with troubleshooting problems arising from the production process and train new hires, when required. · Work with Q.C. on quality issues · Implement changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the department. · Responsible to maintain and follow departmental procedures and work instructions · Provide feedback to Sales, Sourcing, Product Manger and Manufacturing Manager. · Provide feedback on employee progress and productivity to Manufacturing Manager · Maintain a professional and constructive approach to managing human and other resources of Sealing Devices, Inc. at all times. REQUIREMENTS
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for lead person and production technicians working in the molded products production cell SKILL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the following skills including but not limited to mentoring and interpersonal / interdepartmental communication, delegation, prioritizing, scheduling, and the ability to perform multiple tasks and cross-train employees. Also, must be able to design and oversee tool design, be capable of new process set up and have excellent problem-solving abilities. MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to understand the moderately complex interactions between customer orders and the flow of production. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the ability to perform the task necessary to produce finished goods when required. This includes sitting and standing for long periods of time up to 8 hours, bending, grasping, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The minimal requirement for this position is a high school degree / GED, though a college education is preferable, and 10 years of related job experience with 1 ? 5 years prior experience in management
