JOB SUMMARY: Uses a variety of mechanic's hand tools and hand power tools to perform precision assembly and installation of machined parts, sheetmetal structures, sub-assemblies, and components to develop system and structural components of SFI products. Work is performed by following the detailed specifications of blueprints and manufacturing orders. Assembly and installation fastening and processes are, in part, performed according to MIL-STD-403. Performs tests of completed sub-assemblies. Includes deburring, sanding, drilling and countersinking with portable or bench tools to finish and prepare for subsequent operations.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires knowledge of MIL-STD-403. 5 – 10 years experience working in an aerospace mfg. environment.
