Mechanical Tech Installation

Under minimal supervision, works independently from parts, sketches, and verbal instructions assembling storage ring and accelerator systems vacuum components in a class 10,000 clean room.
Provide leak detection services and maintenance of tooling associated with the above mentioned systems and equipment.
Work in a team during field maintenance operations under direction senior level technicians.
Compile data and maintain logs on various vacuum sub systems.
Routinely required to follow Lock and Tag procedures.
Work in a radiation controlled area and adhere to Radiation Safety Guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
Functional understanding of machinery, hand tools, and precision measuring devices, leak detectors, RGA's Rough vacuum pumps, and other associated equipment.
Must have an extensive knowledge of UHV theory, equipment, techniques, and fabrication practices.
Must be able to read engineering drawings.
Must be able to work in accelerator housings under hot and crowded conditions.
