Mechanical/Processing Engineer

National Industrial/Manufacturing plant has immediate opening for an experienced, qualified Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be expected to study actual equipment together with failure histories in order to design preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, lead failure mode / root cause analysis teams and develop reliability enhancements on existing equipment. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate fellow employees and outside contractors for the execution of major capital projects and major maintenance activities, develop tracking tools for downtime, and analyze resource needs.

Qualifications needed:Able to work with team members and with cross-functional teams to optimize the operation of equipment through the implementation of optimal run settings, line balancing, preventative and predictive maintenance plans and process analysis.

»Successful candidates will have demonstrated implementation of improvement projects in a manufacturing environment using a basic knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles and Six Sigma. A driving desire to continuously improve process and equipment operation is a must.

•Familiarity with FMEA, Vibration/Oil Analysis, Equipment Analysis, Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Industrial controls and automation, Project management, Visual Basic Programming
