Do you enjoy working in a warehouse environment? Love to constantly be on the move? Check out this exciting opportunity as a material handler! Work in a fast paced, team environment delivering products to the many areas of this large semiconductor company. Must be able to be on your feet the majority of your shift, walk extensively, and lift 35 – 50 lbs. Use your great customer service and PC skills to handle customer requests and effectively process inventory transactions. This position requires candidates to be able to work shifts that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities will include:
Accurately processing on-line transactions
Receiving / delivering / moving materials from point to point within the facility
Performing cycle counts, material labeling, stocking, and repackaging
Interfacing with customers and electronically tracking materials
Releasing and ordering material from outside sources
Taking orders and translating into electronic requests
Answering questions for customers regarding inventory and material systems
Operating material handling equipment
This position requires strong customer service and follow-up skills as well as a high level of proficiency, accuracy, and speed. To be successful, you must have a basic understanding of receiving, warehousing, service counter, shipping, and delivery. You must also have prior experience using a software package to manage inventories. Prior knowledge of hazardous material handling, safety, and ESD awareness is preferred, but not required.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, as is an advanced degree. Basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and writing skills are necessary. Strong computer / keyboarding skills are also required.
