Marketing Manager for Food Manufacturing Company

Privately owned food manufacturer, providing private label and branded products to retailers and consumer products companies in the United States and Europe is searching for a Marketing Manager. This position offers excellent salary and benefit package to the right individual!

The Marketing Manager works across two lines of business, Retail (branded and private label sales) and Food Service (largely unbranded sales). The Marketing Manager will work closely with Product Development and Sales to develop marketing strategies and plans, and will be responsible for implementation of all of the company’s marketing initiative sand programs.

Responsibilities:

Will contribute to a corporate brand marketing strategy that drives customer and consumer awareness in their retail, private label and foodservice businesses;

Implement marketing initiatives in retail and foodservice trade channels to include company and private branded labels;

Coordinate an annual promotional calendar;

Execute day-to-day marketing activities to include brand building, promotions, packaging enhancements and pricing;

Understand and communicate market intelligence from consumers, customers, and competitors;

Will create marketing communication strategies utilized throughout the company in support of sales and marketing goals;

Facilitate planning of the merchandising direction for product portfolio by business channel;

Work closely with sales as the customer marketing interface with customers and product development.
REQUIREMENTS
BA or BS in business, preferably marketing; MBA is plus;

5+ years of demonstrated success in brand management and/or marketing management at a blue chip company required;

Retail, packaged-goods consumer marketing experience required;

Business-to-business marketing experience desirable;

Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial company environment desirable;

Food industry experience desirable;

Functional experience managing key elements of the marketing mix, including product line, packaging, communications, promotion and pricing;

Strong communications skills – presentation development, delivery and written communications;

Project management skills, including ability to manage work of professional service firms and vendors;

Sound prioritization and organization skills;

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills;

Accountable for budget management;

Understanding of appropriate financial management practices;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite product tools.
