Manufacturing Technician-Purification

Purpose: There is an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Technician-Purification with a well known biotechnology company in Orange County. The Manufacturing Technician-Purification will perform product manufacturing and manufacturing support.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

-HPLC
-Ensure equipment and materials are in place as required for each production run.
-Antibody and enzyme purification via Affinity Chromatography, Size Exclusion Chromatography, Ion Exchange Chromatography, and Tangential Flow Filtration.
-Filtration (Sterile Filtration, Ultra Filtration, Viral Filtration)
-Product filling
-Maintain Clean room Facility and Equipment
-Control and Track Raw Material Inventory
-GMP Documentation
-Revise and initiate Batch Production Records, Standard Operating Procedures, Study Protocols and Reports.
-Prepare media buffers
-Manually clean small parts and equipment
-Operate Sartocheck 3 Filter Integrity Tester
-Operate and maintain New Brunswick 30L Fermentor (including CIP and SIP)
-Assist with Cell Culture (thaw, expansion, and maintenance)
-Operate and Maintain Gruenber Oven
-Perform daily monitoring of equipment
-Prepare Glassware and Equipment for Production


QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a 4 year college or university plus 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of industry experience working with HPLC or similar equipment. Must also have experience with a GMP production environment, aseptic technique and working in a clean room environment requiring appropriate clean room gowning.Classification:Contract-to-HireCompensation:
