Manufacturer seeks AutoCAD Drafter

Purpose: Position: AutoCAD Drafter Location: Lincoln, CA (Just outside of Roseville)

Salary: $16-$24/hr DOE + benefits

Nations leading Building facade, landscaping, and Ornament manufacturer actively seeks self motivated and experienced AutoCAD Drafter for full time permanent opportunity.

Our firm is the only remaining major manufacturer of ornamental hand-sculptured terra cotta in the United States. As a subsidiary to a National Builder, they produce over 60,000 tons of Architectural Terra Cotta and other clay products annually at its plant in Lincoln, California (Near Roseville).

We are the first company on the Pacific Coast to produce clay roof tiles and we are one of only three manufacturers in the US that can meet the most stringent freeze/thaw ASTM specifications. Their tile is made for the most demanding customers. Prestigious universities, landmark public and private buildings, as well as hundreds of structures graced with custom made clay tile.

AutoCAD Drafter job responsibilities will include but are not limited to working under the supervision of the Drafting Dept. Manager, performing computer-aided drafting and design work and performing other related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

- Performs computer-aided drafting and design and blue printing.
- Makes estimates on terra cotta, roof tile and pipe jobs.
- Draws terra cotta shop and production drawings; makes plant, factory and shop drawings.
- Draws production schedules; runs errands.
- Operates personal computers, plotters, printers, modems, network and various drafting equipment.
- Attends safety meetings.
- Distributes in-house shop drawings to various departments.
- Abides by all company and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Requires six years of basic drafting experience.
- One to two years of college or trade school, studying architectural drafting, with personal computers and computer software desired.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2004.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, databases and related Windows software preferred.
- Requires strong verbal and written communication and mathematical skills including trigonometry.
