We are looking for a leader to join our supply chain team in RTP, NC or Lindon, UT.
Responsible for leading and directing the activities Sourcing/Purchasing staff in the management of the supply base to achieve consistent on-time deliveries, cost reductions, cycle-time reductions, and quality improvements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
A. Provide daily functional leadership to the core and business unit Sourcing/Purchasing staff through coaching and training to achieve supply base management objectives.
B. Work and interface with the functional managers of Manufacturing, Operations, Business Management, Quality Services, Technical Support, Human Resources, and Financial Services to achieve and meet divisional business plan objectives.
C. Work and interface with other organizational divisions to coordinate the management of specific suppliers and commodities. Provide direction, establish prioritization, approve content, and implement all purchasing related instructions, procedures, practices, and studies to ensure compliance with divisional and corporate guidelines, ISO 9002, COPC 2000, and other customer mandated programs.
D. Source and monitor vendors on cost of goods, response time, and delivery to continually improve customer satisfaction.
E. Communicate status of purchase orders with vendors and internal customers.

REQUIREMENTS
This position requires frequent travel and the ability to thrive in a matrix organization. Must be stress-tolerant, related to conflicting priorities and meeting scheduled deadlines.
A. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, advanced degree preferred.
B. Minimum of 10 years demonstrated progressive work experience in purchasing, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and other related fields.
C. Demonstrated progressive supervisory and management experience running a functional purchasing organization and supplier management function.
D. Demonstrated supplier management experience and ability to meet deadlines.
E. MRP (IFS, SAP, or similar) experience and APICS certification required.
F. Knowledge of Manufacturing and ISO 9002 experience preferred.
G. Must have strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
H. Ability to work successfully in a dynamic environment.
I. Must be team-oriented and able to work independently.
J. PC literate, including MS office.
K. Ability to react to change productively and handle other tasks as required.
