Mail Extraction Operator

Business Unit: GE MoneyFunction: ManufacturingResponsibilities: This is a 3rd shift positionOperate OPEX 50 mail extraction machines
Account look-ups in FDR
Perform running duties including: Batching, lifting trays, clearing machine trash bins, and assisting on extractors
Correct machine malfunctions due to jams, misfeeds, and extractor stops. Log machine issues for filed engineers as appropriate.
Make minor adjustments and perform cleaning of mail extraction machines
Sort customer correspondence, change of address and other media that requires special handling.
Monitor and return misdirected mail to post office.
Perform and cross-train on other remittance processing duties including keying and clerical functions.
Deliver by meeting or exceeding production quality guidelines~HJ~
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent
Attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ongoing throughout the shift
Able to perform math calculations such as: addition, subtraction, and simple division
Must be able to understand and follow written directions
Neat and legible penmanship
Some knowledge of tools and the mechanical ability to perform minor machine adjustments and repairs.
Able to work flexible schedule (overtime and weekend work as needed by the business)
Able to work in a team environment
Production and/or machine experience preferred
Basic PC skills including Microsoft OutlookDesired: Prior remittance processing experienceGeneral: This is a 40 hour/week position.
Position hours M-F, & Sun. with 3 Fridays per month (may vary on a 5 week month)
7 pm - 3:30 am
