Advanced Technology Services (ATS) employees provide professional, comprehensive technical services to an impressive customer base, specializing in fields of information technology and industrial services. We have an immediate need for a Buyer in Aurora, IL.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Controls all purchases in order to maintain the lowest possible inventory levels.


Sources and evaluates vendors who can supply various services or components within a specific time frame.


Monitors departmental purchasing budget for compliance.


Oversees the follow-up of past due orders and report corrective actions.


Establishes and maintains an aggressive cost reduction program, reporting results to upper management.


Cross-trains in other areas of the department and fill in as needed.


Implements programs that will result in the constant improvement of the department.


Enforces customer and company purchasing policies and procedures.


Provides backup for other members of department as needed.





Qualifications will include the following:




Associates Degree in Business from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years experience, military training, or an equivalent combination of training and experience to perform the above duties and responsibilities.


Experience working in an industrial environment and/or with machine tools.


Ability to work in a team centered environment.
