Lead Chemist
Directs and coordinates research and development activities for Company's manufactured product offering by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team members. * Extensive bench time * Consistently develop new formulas and enhances existing formulas to enable company on-going product launch and market penetration. * Researches and tests new procedures, techniques, machinery, and materials to lower variable unit costs. * Develops and/or maintains accurate, up-to-date manufacturing procedures for each product produced. * Develops or revises Standard Operating Procedures and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. * Completes all projects within budget and allotted time frames. * Establishes and meets budgeted performance commitments for R&D and QC.
REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree (M.S.) or equivalent in Chemistry field (in a technical discipline)or four to ten year's related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Specific experience in polymer chemistry, epoxies, acrylics, ester blends, * Also experience with urethanes, ureas, oils, sealers,Testing materials used as ingredients in adhesives, bonding,coating, structural repairs and other products for such qualities as purity stability, viscosity, density, bonding, compression and tensile strength, absorption, burning rate, and melting or flash point.
