Laser Technician

Responsible for the alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of solid-state flashlamp-pumped lasers and laser rangefinder optical systems. Must use optical, mechanical, and electrical tools and test equipment for measurement, alignment, and testing. Must complete static and dynamic laser alignment and assist in the development of procedures. Must inspect, clean, assemble, and bond components as required. Must meet program schedules and produce quality products.

REQUIREMENTS
Requires laser and/or precision optical alignment and test experience. Solid-state laser experience and an associate degree in a technical field are preferred. Must have optical and laser troubleshooting skills. Electrical troubleshooting skills are preferred. Must be experienced with laser measurements like energy, pulse width, beam divergence, beam profiling, etc. Must have good planning, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a lead technician and train others.
