Journeyman/Apprentice Moldmaker, Tool & Die Maker, Machinist

Gerresheimer Glass Pkg./Kimble Glass is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality glass manufacturing, packing, and packaging systems, particularly for the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry. We seek an energetic, team-oriented individual to join us at our Chicago Heights facility as we continue to improve our company and best service our customers every need.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mold Maker Journeyman with strong skills, mechanical aptitude, and computer based machining background needed. Solid experience and background required in:

-Ability to read mold equipment or precision metal parts blueprints.
-Proficient in metal milling machine and hand tool operations
including lathes, grinders, and CNC milling machines.
-Able to accurately employ hand and computer based precision measurement devices.
-Familiarity with metal and alloy properties.
-Metal and alloy torch welding techniques.
-Adaptability to technology and computer based systems.
-Three years experience as a journeyman in a related field is required.

Apprentice Mold Maker:

Seeking individuals with torch welding, machining, precision measurement, and metals backgrounds. A passion to learn and embrace changing technology is critical. Strong math and mechanical aptitude is essential. OJT and apprentice program exist for a driven individual with the right combination of base skills.

Good coordination and dexterity
Must follow all departmental ISO Level III work instructions
Able to follow good housekeeping and safety rules
Must pass pre-employment physical
Will carry out GMS and 5S tasks
Performs all other duties as assigned.
